A public, accessible harbor destination designed for recreation, climate resilience, and community life
The Problem
Boston has miles of waterfront — but very few places where ordinary residents can actually be in the water, gather casually, or spend time without spending money.
The Proposal
We propose a floating urban beach: safe harbor swimming, seating, shade, seasonal programming, and open public access.
Why Now
Cities worldwide are reclaiming working waterfronts for people. Boston has the opportunity to lead — not follow.
